Case Study #2: Points-of-Interest Application

The Challenge

A multinational company developing in-car and smartphone navigation systems wanted to display points of interest (POIs) for its users.


The Solution

Implied Intelligence developed a customized solution to extract point-of-interest information from business home pages and Chamber of Commerce sites that included not just core data but extended data, such as opening hours and payment options. The end result was a database of more than 9 million POIs in 10 different markets, including the U.S., UK, Canada, Russia and several European countries.
